However, the producer stressed this could only happen under one condition: "Bumblebee" must be a success.”

Not really. Its success never rode entirely on the US release, it was within its opening weekend range so it at least met expectations there. It also came out of its second weekend at $20M maintaining its 3rd place spot. Worldwide it's already made $196,611,248 so its made back all of its costs and that's ahead of the Chinese release this weekend and the Japanese release in March plus home video so it seems to be doing fine. It isn't breaking records, but I doubt it'll prevent anything new from being made, probably just effect future budgets.

I didn’t originally intend to see Bumblebee, but I decided to go to the theater anyway because of the G1 sequences (which I suspect were tossed in at the last minute to draw fans like me in). I actually hoped the BB movie would fail and the Transformers movie franchise would be rebooted closer to it’s G1 roots sometime in the future. It’s sad that everything is contingent upon BB doing well because I’m not shelling out any more dollars to see it (I’m actually thinking about taking the family out to see Aquaman tonight). Hopefully Paramount or whoever will be satisfied with the 350 or so million Bumblebee MIGHT make.

If they really want to mess with something other than G1, just do a Go-Bots film and leave the rest of the Transformers legacy outside of Generation One in peace.

Not everything needs be g1 crap did people say armada , cybertron, animated, prime series sucks it’s not g1 not dam chance people like series have to much g1 **** it will make live action movie look like **** cartoon if you shallow minded old fans get your heads out of your butts and try something new talk to new transformer fans thanks to movies for making them fans you will dam know they hate cartoons and comics when they want to see transformers movie they want live action not transformers cartoon movie such as ultra magnus was in only people who will see transformers cartoon movie are people on this site and little kids if transformers live action movie looks to cartoony new fans will not see it but you old fans never ever talk to new fans to realize this ****.
My boss he likes marvel movies he saw every marvel movie there is but he will not see Spider-Man into spider verse cartoon movie why he does not like cartoons that is how new transformer fans feel make transformer movie look more cartoony and less live action of course new fans will not see it and it does not help bumblebee being released same day on aquaman was on aquaman is kicking bee ass that’s another reason for bumblebee not doing well get off stupid g1 **** you can accept change in cartoons but never movies as old fan you are what does that say for yourself it tells new fans you only like g1 nothing more if it’s not g1 you won’t like it and you won’t give it chance unless it’s cartoon series one sided thinking of course not surprised

ZeroWolf wrote:Are we talking strictly transformers? As I think the majority love the G1 designs from the Cybertron scenes of Bumblebee. If we're talking non-tf then I submit Thanos and Deadpool.
I said I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and I will if this project goes anywhere.
