The appeal would first be for those who missed out on the Netflix Soundwave and want some extra figures for the price they'd pay on eBay.
Or for those who missed out on all 3.
Or the hardcore who don't mind triple-dipping.
But like he said, the Nemesis Bridge 3-pack with Soundwave, Shockwave, and Megatron is still a thing and still available.-Kanrabat- wrote:Till-all-R1 wrote:That three pack is very similar to the previous one with Megs, so I'm not certain of the appeal of it. For me anyway.

Some have already ordered the Nemesis Bridge set. Where's the appeal in this new 3-pack for them?-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Doesn't matter when both are only available online.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:But like he said, the Nemesis Bridge 3-pack with Soundwave, Shockwave, and Megatron is still a thing and still available.-Kanrabat- wrote:Till-all-R1 wrote:That three pack is very similar to the previous one with Megs, so I'm not certain of the appeal of it. For the exact same price?

Why import the Nemesis Bridge set when it's sold by Pulse, BBTS, TFSource, Entertainment Earth, etc.?-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:But like he said, the Nemesis Bridge 3-pack with Soundwave, Shockwave, and Megatron is still a thing and still available.-Kanrabat- wrote:Till-all-R1 wrote:That three pack is very similar to the previous one with Megs, so I'm not certain of the appeal of it. The shipping and paying for that extra throne will make a difference.

With the DC set, I also didn’t love that Soundwave; for me I had preordered that for Shockwave. Who imo looks incredibly good. But I canceled because it still wasn’t worth it.
Assuming there’s less $$ worth of accessories in this new set, if it ends up being $80, I’m more likely to go for it. Of course, that is if I really like the look of Shockwave, and the others are good too.
That was the original plan. The figure was originally going to be sold in Legacy Evolution proper, with the new name of Chimeracon. But then it was decided to simply do a package refresh of the normal Tarantulas figure instead, with this one getting relegated to the 4-pack and being re-characterized as the original version of Tarantulas from the toyline before the cartoon came along, in which he was a ninja character.angtre wrote:Why didn't they simply give it a new name, making it a different character? Even as a prime character, repainted as an unused prototype it doesn't hold that much "must-buy potential", IMHO...

Looks orange in that bio card art to me.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:That was the original plan. Re-characterised as the original Tarantulas.. and they get the colour palette wrong

Till-all-R1 wrote:Considering the recent Commander UM, the rumored Commander OP, Springer being Commander I think I might just wait for a Commander Megs with a solid deco. Which is why I'm not torn up about missing out on that 3-pk.
I also hope that one day Soundwave is given a proper G1 specific mold and looks great. I already have Siege Shockwave but I've yet to open it up because I'm not quite sold on the deco. I would definitely take one that's closer to G1 colors.
Hence none of the two 3-pks really appeal to me overall. So ultimately I'm still waiting for solid versions of Astortrain, Megatron, Octane, Shockwave and Soundwave.
As well as Powerglide, Seaspray and Windcharger.
If EE ever ships Beachcomber and after Pulse ships Gears then I think I'll pretty much be done if all the above can happen within the next 2-4 years.
