Sarcasm is harder to convey in text alone. But yeah, the actors who participate in a production will never come out in the promotional interviews and say, 'You know, this really isn't very good, I wouldn't bother paying to see it.'
They've even got Harrison Ford doing essentially hostage videos where he's being made to say that he thinks 'Dial of Destiny' is awesome. It's only after flop status is established and verified that the performers sometimes feel free enough to admit they thought it was terrible.
For good reason. Hopefully it forces Paramount to reconsider the director and the writer(s) for any potential sequels.william-james88 wrote:griftimus prime wrote:probably going to be a bigger flop than rise of the beasts
Hard to imagine, ROTB is the biggest flop of the franchise by a country mile.

One for each year of the Movieverse's decade strong tenure. Here's to a few more explosive years!

Do we have confirmation that this movie is being affected by the writers strike?
Oh look, someone who didn't read the news story to see that the drawing was done by an amateur and isn't any kind of official work.9adam83 wrote:Is this a joke? The drawings look like a third grader did them. More srtupidity and lack of good ideas. Got it.![]()

Reading is hard. Only the headlines count.
That's especially true for news story. And that laziness is exploited by the agenda/propaganda pushers, no matter the sides or causes.

Unfortunately, I'm not particularly enthusiastic about what I read. That synopsis reads like this story was written by someone who already had a story and twisted an unrelated franchise around it. Maybe the finished product will be better than it sounds.
What does any of that have to do with this movie news?PhotonWaveZero wrote:They are NEVER going to put out a quality cartoon again, are they?
They spoonfed us nostalgia with the War for Cybertron trilogy, and the sad reality is that's the closest they've come to capturing classic Transformers.
Hasbro, doesn't the shelf warming of all this chibi garbage give you a clue on what fans are actually looking for?
Give us a quality series, for the love of God !

Also, we have and have had good cartoons. EarthSpark is great. Cyberverse was great. The War For Cybertron Trilogy, on the other hand, sucked.

If the WFC series was better than the Prime Wars trilogy but still sucked, I can't imagine what it may have been like. Combiner Wars was enough for me.
After a season of Cyberverse, I was bored to tears.
And the creepy faces kept me away from Earthspark. I just can't stand them. The pronom thing being a bonus.
So, I can understand PhotonWaveZero's sentiment. I too, have zero trust in that new movie. Still, I have a glimmer of hope to be surprized.
Initially, they have a hollow space in their chests, as depicted in my drawings. After acquiring the Transformation Cog, their chest designs will change. In the middle to later stages, they gain the ability to transform, and their initial incomplete forms appear in various humorous and bizarre shapes. They can transform into vehicles like trucks, tanks, sports cars, and motorcycles.
It seems that the details of the movie are still being kept under wraps. According to the people from [the expo], they only received the teaser yesterday. The plot is expected to revolve around the love, hate, and rivalry between Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Elita, as well as their journey to obtaining the Transformation Cog.

In the words of Prime Starscream, "A T-Cog isn't technology, it is biology."snavej wrote:Transformation cogs might be a good idea for simple machines but Transformers are super-complex like organic creatures. I think that the transformation ability comes with a profound change on a molecular level, like genetic engineering but metal-based.

Rodimus Prime wrote:Which continuity/series is the better quality is subjective. It depends on the viewer's taste and preference. Despite Kingdom's failure, I thought WFC was pretty good, definitely superior to both Cyberverse and Earthspark. Those are shows for pre-teens/early teens. Definitely not for anyone older than 14.
As for this new animated feature, I'll wait for official reveals. I thought the Exodus novel was average, but a skilled scriptwriter could take it and expand it into a decent movie story. We'll see.
