I also got Ken the Eagle from Gatchaman, because that's something I thought I'd never see.
Godzilla is the only slightly larger Pop I have ( 6 inch instead of 4) but I really have no place for a big Unicron Pop. I've actually seen the big ones go on clearance at Walmart. As a convention/store exclusive I doubt this will go on sale, but stranger things have happened

I'm not surprised, the Funko fanbase and resellers were enough for these to sell without a single Transformers fan buying in. Anything to get their hands on rare Pops.

And we already knew how... gullible they are. A few months back in a Facebook group I'm in, someone was asking if they thought they should get their Funko collection insured--and I asked them if they learned nothing from the Beanie Baby craze in the 90s?
I'm looking forward to the time when the Pop craze will crash and burn, punishing all those who only seek to profit from it.
I'm a little surprised it hasn't happened yet, especially with this many exclusives. But the big difference is that Beanie Babies didn't have licensed designs originally so they lacked the widespread crossover appeal that Pops have. Beanie Babies were just good for a quick endorphin rush for collectors, they didn't exactly have lasting character appeal.

should be really light in fact. Judging by the pic, it's not an helmet, but just a front face mask.

Ah yes, a 'half mask' it says. Meaning the BACK of the wearer's head should be uncovered, and it will be held in place with straps or some such rigging. We can only wait and see. There are several possibilities in terms of materials. It could be thin and flimsy, like those el-cheapo Halloween masks they make for little kids. Or it could be thick and sturdy, like a paintball mask. Still really wide though. If it catches a stiff breeze, it looks as if it would serve as a powerful sail...

It's not their first mask so it should be made the same way as their other ones. Thin but not flimsy plastic and a thick adjustable strap.
The size is just so it makes you look like a Pop.

This Hallmark Ornaments Funko Pop Optimus Prime measures around 3 1/2 inches tall. Even though it has some scratches or scuff marks it is still pretty detailed for the size.

Yes, there's a Bumblebee, too. I remember seeing them in the current ad and in store, and then completely forgot about them. Probably worth an article...

You buy a digital pack of NFTs (5 NFTs for $9.99 or 15 for $29.99) and have a very small chance of getting a rare one that comes with the physical product redemption. Optimus is the "grail" of the wave, with a 0.28% pull rate. The other 5 physical redemptions, including Bee, have a 1.72% pull rate. Most people just get worthless ones. It's just digital trading cards with the NFT buzzword tacked on and the chance to win a physical Pop! figure. And if you collect the full set, excluding the physical redemption ones, you get a bonus physical Funko of their mascot in a Hasbro t-shirt holding a Simon game.

Sad to read that this isn't their first rodeo with the NFT scam.

Meh, business as usual.
Business people are simply people who have identified a niche and provided a service for it. In this case, they've identified the super-hipster niche who like digital things and don't have any brain power and believe that something with no physical form will not appreciate in value.

If the Eskimo is willing to buy ice, sell it to them.

Those digital Trump trading cards doubled in value.
NFTs will go up in value as much as people think they will (and buy them accordingly)

Have to say for his size, Optimus Prime is very detailed. Whether I find the rest in a store or order them online, look forward to completing this group.
