How did Barbie get on there? Dont they always complain shes a bad example to kids? Except Guitar hero, everything else on the list sucks balls. Not that they had any credibility but who decided on this stuff?

Don't complain about Barbie being on the list. It is amazing that she is even there at all. Considering how girls have grown to worship those even more gangly Bratz dolls Barbie doesn't seem to do as well anymore. Neither toy is a good role model for girls, but those Bratz dolls can be rather whorish looking. Dolls for the Paris Hilton age.
Ultimate Bumblebee being on the list is cool. But what happens when parents see the list and then go out to buy the toy and find out how much he costs? I guess it won't bee too much longer till Target and Walmart clearance him so they can clear shelves for Christmas stock.

That is a great list and reflects
what I view as popular among kids.
That Rubik's cube looks like fun and
I'm definitely gonna get my kid the Aquadots.
I'm a little surprised the do-it-yourself tattoo kit
wasn't on there. No, they are not real tattoos.

Outside of the TFs I'd be pissed if I got any of those. Not that they don't look like fun, just that they look like crap.
BAD, BAD, DESINGERS, VERY VERY BAD!!!

I agree with Tom, the stuff on that list is crap and so are the transformers items. The Ultimate Bumblebee is cool as a statue but not as a toy. My nephew Danny loves the deluxe figures and so do I. Why didn’t they list Bumblebee 2008 Deluxe figure in that list? That is one sweet toy and it’s only 10.99 if you can find it. I was hoping that this list was going to help me find my nephew a cool gift for his birthday in November, but it didn’t. I am just going to buy him a bunch of deluxe figures and a couple of voyagers. I hope Guitar Hero 3 is good, because Guitar Hero of the 80’s sucked. That is my opinion and I am sorry if it pissed anyone off.

The Rubik's Revolution is a POS that not only destroys the quiet dignity of a Rubik's Cube, but is making American children dumber and making parents even further unwilling to teach their children, rather, make them slaves to blinking electronics.
This year's best toy, by far, is one that brings parents and children together, and one that engages the child in both imagination and creativity. Transformers work for this, as do many other toys, but certainly not several of the toys on this list.
Never heard of Toy Wishes, anyway.

My guess is the writer decided with the success of the Transformers series they had to put some Transformers top toys list. So they went ot a local Walmart or Target and looked at the Transformers section, which had most of the toys sold out. They only toys left on the shelf were the blasters and Ultimate Bumblebee (being big time shelf warmers) and they put those on the list! All the good stuff had sold out.

That would about sum it up.
I can understand UBB being showcased, but there should have at least been a picture of Leader Prime.
And personally I love the Optimus Arm Blaster.
